Why was my request to buy an item automatically rejected?

Once you request to buy an item, our system gives the seller 3 days to accept or reject. If they do not respond within 3 days, our system will automatically withdraw your request to buy your item.

We do this to protect you. It avoids situations in which you request to buy an item, you forget about it, and the seller accepts a long time afterwards. This means you won't be hit with charges for items you forgot you wanted to buy.

What to do if you still want to buy the item

The first thing to do is contact the seller. They may not have seen your request to buy their item.

If you still wish to buy the item you will need to request to buy it again. Hopefully the seller will respond to your message and accept. If not, our system will continue to protect you from unresponsive sellers by withdrawing your requests after 3 days.

There is no limit to how many times you can request to buy an item, but you may wish to try a more responsive seller after a few tries.
